Chance has been focused on unlocking the value from data his entire career. At Blacklight Solutions he is focused on transforming the way organizations work with their data and how they use it to create value for their products and teams. For the past 15 years he has been engaged as a consultant with the Fortune 50 in the United States as well as internationally by some of the most successful organizations in the world. He is the inventor of Data Current (Patent Pending), a new technology that assists organizations in finding the right data for decisions from foreign and even unstructured data sources. Chance was Senior Scientist for Ideal Innovations, an award-winning inventions company where he conducted R&D for clients such as the the United States DoD as well as foreign governments producing real-world solutions that are currently used around the globe. Chance has a B.S. in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin as well as an M.S. in Biomedical Informatics from The University of Texas at Houston.
Giovanni has been delivering software solutions for Fortune 500 companies and early stage startups for over 18 years. Prior to founding Blacklight Solutions in 2009, Giovanni was the Senior Director of Development at AlterPoint, managing multiple development teams and successfully transitioned the product through acquisition to Versata Enterprises. Prior to that, Giovanni worked on various projects in retail financial trading and consumer based web portals. Giovanni graduated from Wesleyan University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Ian Clarke is a Computer Scientist and Entrepreneur, with a track record of both technical and business innovation, and an outspoken thinker and activist on issues relating to freedom of speech, intellectual property law, and technology.
Ian is best known as the founder and coordinator of the Freenet Project; designed to allow true freedom of communication, Freenet was the first decentralized anonymous peer-to-peer network, and a precursor of the “distributed hashtable” data structure. Ian has also founded a number of innovative and diverse commercial ventures, including Revver, the first online video website to share revenue with video creators, Thoof, a collaboratively generated personalized news website, and SenseArray, a powerful machine learning engine.
As CTO of OneSpot, Ian recruited and managed a world-class team of software engineers and data scientists. Together with his team, Ian employed state-of-the-art machine learning, control theory, and other advanced techniques to architect a sophisticated and scalable realtime bidding engine, capable of processing tens of thousands of auctions per second. Ian grew up in County Meath, Ireland, attended university in Edinburgh, Scotland, and has lived in Austin, Texas since 2007. He has also lived and worked in London, England, and Los Angeles, California.
Ian has both Irish and US citizenship.In his spare time Ian enjoys walking, swimming, playing the piano, building, flying, and occasionally crashing radio controlled helicopters, and working on various open source projects.

As Manager of Business Intelligence Solutions, Daniel Woods brings six years of development experience to the Blacklight Solutions team. Using various platforms and database tools, he has tailored solutions to fit client needs for user bases from fifty to a few thousand users. Past web-based projects include clients in the Defense, Telecommunications and Energy industries. Daniel graduated from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
